We had a laminate floor laid in our kitchen a few years ago. It is still in perfect condition, apart from over the last couple of years one section has gradually slid by about 2 inches. It goes under the plinth beneath the unit both sides. We have tried hitting it with a wooden hammer, but cannot shift it. How can we rectify this without taking the floor up. It is a large kitchen and we are not DIY people.

Many thanks for any advice
