Only blue wires connected to my light

Multimeter just arrived.

Switched it on (pic 1)
Touched the screwdriver with both cables and it buzzes (pic 2). So I have the correct setting for continuity ?

You guys are BRILLIANT! I done what you suggested and hey presto, one of the sets (a blue plus a brown) made the multimeter beep whilst the other sets did not beep.

I have red taped the blue cable which beeped (image 1). I assume this blue (with red tape) is a Live to my new light plus I add one of the blue wires from the other pairs to make the neutral, then bunch up all the browns together in a connector block like image 2 (which is from the next bedroom light)??

Why isn't the light over the wires....unless I'm missing something

The light has to slot into to cable holder as in image 1.

But my new light does not have a Ground wire screw. Not sure if that's ok?

I am not sure if my words alone can express how grateful I am to this group for your patience, support and guidance. I could not have done this without your help.

Thank you ALL and Happy New Year...
