Hi

We have an Open Vented system in our house for hot water, the cold is mains.

Boiler in garage which has flow and return for rads and 22mm gas pipe already.

There is a downstairs bathroom right next to the boiler and the hot (gravity) and cold (mains) go via the boiler cupboard already as that downstairs bathroom has a pump for the hot for the shower in that bathoom.

Its a 3 bed semi and we are a family of 3 with no plans to increase so the chances of needing two showers at the same time are slim to none so I would like to go combi as it means freeing up space in the airing cupboard as well as getting the big tanks out of the loft.

Am I right in thinking because the boiler already has a mains cold feed into its cupboard we could tap into as well as a hot pipe which feeds the shower in bathroom next to it, its unlikely we will need any additional pipework under floors etc?

Thanks

It’s not quite as simple as that but before you do anything you need to get your incoming water flow and pressure tested to see if it is good enough for a combi.
