I'm thinking of installing an Ecodan air to water system, does anybody have any comments about what to go for, what to avoid, best/latest versions etc. please? I'm installing it in a 2 bed bungalow.

Thanks very much.

Some of the Daiken stuff you need a Fridge Engineer for the pipe work between the internal & external unit.

Why not have a look at Nibe heat recovery HP, we've installed a few & they're really good with great running costs. Ideal for a 2 Bed house.

Whats the background? what system is there now or is it new build? do you have mains gas?

Never fitted one, so cannot offer any personal comment, but industry wide tha Ecodan appears to be one of the best from comments I have read in trade magazines

You don't need a fridge engineer, just a decent skilled pipe fitter who can braze and purge with nitrogen.
(Guess that rules you out O'masterfull one)
OOh and a comissioning technician to get it running.

All Engineers Working on Refrigerant systems HAVE TO BE REFCOM registered- it's the Law from July 1st 2009.

Engineers rarely work on refrigerant systems.
Service technicians do though and they should have the relevant qualifications.
Pipe fitters working for large companies don't need qualifications.
Just experience and thats MY experience.
So what U got to say now O masterful one?
