I hope someone can help or put me in the right direction.

The gas was switched off in my nannas house and when I turned it back on to start the boiler up it was making a horrible loud noise.

I think it has lost the pressure as the gauge is showing at 0bar. Sorry im not very technical. Is it easy enough to do and how?

Its a Optima 700 serial number 005693 and was installed in 1994

Thanks for all your help
Michelle

not a gas problem - just a lack of water problem
look under boiler or nearby for a silver braided pipe between 2 pipes with a stop tap or 2 taps 1 each end, this is the filling loop. turning on slowly you can add water to heating system and guage will rise put in enough to get just over 1 on the gauge and turn off again. reset boiler and it should go again.
