Upload picture of wires in control panel and full screen shot of both , did you put the back tamper screw in the bellbox ? And do you have a multimeter ?

Thanks Sparky I really appreciate the help :)

Yes I’ve installed the screw for the back tamper switch and made sure the pressure switch clicks when I shut the lid on the bell box.

Yes I have a multimeter and know how to use it.

Please see attached pics below of Control Panel, Bell box and key pad

What DC voltage do you get between green and yellow at the panel should be around 13.8 dc if not check bell fuse

So I was a little premature on this one ...the alarm went of accidentally today but I've just realized no actual siren on the bell box is ringing ..yes inside the key pad and main panel are alerting and the bell box is flashing but no actual siren in the bell box is sounding.

Nothing has changed wiring wise, so the 3 photos above are still the most recent picture, all fuses have been checked and are good.

Sorry to drag this one out, any help would be great :)

Remove white wire in panel touch it to a - eg battery black wire ....does it ring ?

Thanks again Sparky, just to be sure are we talking about removing this white wire ?

thanks so I took out the white wire ..and while the alarm panel was powered but not armed I touched the white wire onto the Strobe - Terminal....the result was no siren

I'm guessing that's not a good thing ?

Not necessarily ... as Sparkymarka said touch the white wire to the black wire (0V) next the white speaker terminals. The strobe - will not be at 0V if the strobe is not operating so the sounder will not operate

You were advised to take the white wire in the panel connected to the bell - terminal and to take it to battery 0V

The panels strobe - on the panel wouldnt do anything unless you did a strobe test.

It is important that the advice is followed, otherwise it is highly likely that you will waste your own time doing tests that will give false negatives.

The rest of the alarm system seems to be working fine..that is until I removed the cover and the wiring connecting it.
Who blew the fuses then -- shorted the wires when you dissed. the bell, didn't you.
