Hello

Many years ago I fitted my Optima XM6 alarm system and I have now decided to replace the bell box.

I am looking to do that with the Texecom Odyssey 1 which has the following spec...

Supply Voltage: 13.7V (nominal)
Current Drain
Quiescent (inc charging): 15mA
Strobe: 100mA
Sounder: 425mA
Battery: NiMH, 7.2VDC, 320mAh
Strobe: 1W, 1Hz Flash Rate

Will that bell box work ok with my Optima control panel..?
I can see the two strobe connections. I assume that the bell box tamper connections would go to (shown by the red box) "T" and "A" and would I be also correct in thinking that the power to the bell box would go to D & B...?

Out of curiosity what is the 13v for and the Set + VE latch..?

Thanks for any help

The bellbox comes with a comprehensive installation guide and is compatible with your panel.
The 13v + / - terminals are for powered detectors , and the SET terminal is for latching detectors ( it is 13v positive when the system is set , goes 0v when unset).
