Orange finatape extreme and tile adhesive

Hi all . Is the above tape suitable for jointing plasterboard before tiling ie is it ok with tile adhesive ? Doesn’t say alkali resistant on the packet etc ?

Not sure why you’d bother. Mesh tape is to help reinforce a thin plaster skin to resist cracking at board edges - it won’t do anything for adhered tiles. You’d be better off putting your time and money into glueing and screwing board edges to the studs/each other with something like Sticks Like to further improve the rigidity and water resistance of the joints between the backer boards as a second defence against a broken grout layer. If tiling plasterboard I wouldn’t bother. Do not use plasterboard as a backer for tiles in a wet area

I was going to say I wouldnt use plasterboard. What about movement of stud walls and tape scrim
