Organising garden tools and other tools?

Spades, forks etc- worth hanging on wall or in a tub? General hand tools- planers etc- put in a plastic container and put on shelf?

Wood- for odd jobs? Put on floor organised? Odd bits I dont know if I need- shoukld I throw in a tub together?

On another note, My garage is on a communal black of flats, would petrol mowers be legally allowed in there?

is it classified as a garage ??
if its for a car then i would expect your allowed to have a small amount off petrol in a suitable container
small being enough for the car and in other suitable container stored perhaps including a lawnmore perhaps 9 litres
but your lease 'deeds or rental contract should cover this
