Hi all

I have some 2400x600 boards left from a roof and planning on doing another roof tomorrow but don’t have enough. Local Selco has 2400x625, is the t&g interchangeable? All would Sterling nordboard

Or is it different and I need to get enough new sheets for the new job

Thanks

It's a question maybe only you can answer with trial and error. I suspect manu's will use their own rebate profiles. I'm also not convinced Selco is a popular builders destination, but I may be wrong...?

Thanks. Wasn’t planning on using Selco but it’s local on they have sterling osb. Last lot came from eurocell in 2021/2 when I built my shed.

Is the 625 the physical width giving 600 coverage?
Don’t think so, they do 600 and 625. Mine is 600mm on coverage, but they don’t seem to have stock of this one. Not any other local suppliers have sterling osb which I wanted to match and utilise boards I already have. I might take a piece with me to Selco and test it out, otherwise I’ll just have to buy sheets to do the whole lot

Have you got a corner, with a tongue side and a groove side? I'd expect them to be interchangeable; if they don't mate together perfectly, it isn't really going to matter. If they don't mate at all you can either make them do it(eg run a circ saw down the groove of a few boards) or just cut the tongue off and butt them up, supporting the join with a batten etc underneath. You'll only have to do it on one joint if you're lucky..

Never heard of it sorry.
They do seem fairly wide spread, but maybe you're in one of the few areas of the country where they don't really have any presence..

It's a song - "Selco, it's where the trade go". Bit like bandq without the lampshades and garden centre. Can't comment on the OSB but I've bought caber floor (22mm t&g chipboard flooring), from Wickes and Selco (it's where the trade go) and they've fitted together ok, not perfectly but well enough.
