How come the LibDems didn't field a candidate in Wakefield?
True, but Tiverton was the biggest by election defeat in history. As much as I like Boris, I doubt he will survive this, maybe it is time for him to go for the sake of the party.
There's certainly going to be some maneuvering for position within the Tories.
Whilst opinion polls are a bit tenuous at best as a barometer for popularity, the loss of a solid blue seat in a by-election is damning by comparison.

To lose one by-election may be considered a misfortune but losing two, one of which by 30.000 vote swing in a seat they've never lost, can be seen as another cock-up.
The forthcoming election in the 1922 Committee will be a testing time for Johnson and his minions. It'll be a stand-up scrap between his supporters and backbench MPs who recently voted to remove him from office. There's more of them than he thought and there's a good chance he'll be faced with a hostile committee at his back rather than a friendly committee at his beck and call, so another confidence vote is more likely as they'll simply change the rules and allow the vote to take place in the autumn.
I reckon he'll fall before all my apples do this year.

Are you upset the opposition are using strategic voting to beat the lying cheating disgusting Tories.
Johnson faces privileges committee in the autumn
and no doubt more scandals will appear in the news before then
but Johnson is likely to survive, Tories have nobody who can keep the lies and propaganda going as well.
Looks like they've picked the right man then. Does that upset you?
