Most grooming gang offences carried out by white men, police chiefs say
The vast majority of grooming gang offences are carried out by white men, the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) has said.
New figures from the police database show that, where ethnicity data was available, 85% of “group-based” child abusers were white in the first three quarters of 2024.

The same data for the whole of 2023 showed 83% of offenders were white.
A number of studies have indicated an over-representation of Asian and Black offenders in group-based CSE. Most of the same studies show that the majority of offenders are White.
A number of high-profile cases - including the offending in Rotherham investigated by Professor Alexis Jay,3 the Rochdale group convicted as a result of Operation Span, and convictions in Telford – have mainly involved men of Pakistani ethnicity. Beyond specific high-profile cases, the academic literature highlights significant limitations to what can be said about links between ethnicity and this form of offending. Research has found that group-based CSE offenders are most commonly White.

The only info I have to hand specifically relating to nationality, is a table showing overall child sex abuse cases v's the general population...

Unless I’m missing something, I can't see how they arrived at those numbers because according to the NPCC, the data is incomplete.
"But the data is incomplete, as the NPCC said the information on ethnicity was available for only 34% of suspects in the whole of 2023 and for only 39% of suspects in the first nine months of 2024".
They arrived at those numbers with the information they did have. Being white British is fairly non-ambiguous. Meaning, the remaining 17% - is in dispute.
