I accidently dropped our Henry's tube in the dogs water bowl. I didn't notice as I was drilling the wall, by the time I turned the drill off Henry had 'drunk' so much water it was spewing out of the exhaust grill. I;ve dried it all out and I'm impressed he's still working at all However now he's making a strange sort of noise and not sucking as well as it was.
How easy are they to dismantle? if it's not one of those machines that immediately fall apart as soon as you open it up I'll have a go at restoring him to his prime.
Any hints or suggestions will be most welcome as I think my wife loves Henry more than me.

They are easy enough to get inside - some of the screws are recessed in the lid though!
Points to watch are the rotating cable winder on the top, it has contacts for the electrical supply, and the rollers that allow this part to swivel.
The noise is likely to be water still around the motor fan (which does the extraction and the cooling......if you don't want to go too far, use a hair dryer to dry things out.
Motors are cheap enough on ebay.....no need to ever scrap our 'Enry!
John :)
