Outdoor lighting

The outdoor PIR light with plastic body has stopped working. I need to replace it now. I do not seem to find a direct replacement i.e. an other light fitting with plastic body. The existing light fitiing has only 2 wires connected i.e. red and blue.

Can I safely install a new all weather aluminium light fitting using just these 2 wires and NOT an earth?

Is this safe?

Will this have an impact on my house insurance?

All help will be appreciated.

You may, if it is double-insulated. Look for those words, or a symbol composed of two concentric squares.

Yes, if it is a double-insulated one.

Will this have an impact on my house insurance?

Don't know - does it have any clauses about who must do electrical work?
