Hi,

I have a set of low voltage IP66 decking lights being powered from supply taken from a shed. At present, the lights just plug into a mains socket in the shed and are switched on/off there.

I would like to make this more permanent by connecting the lights directly to the CU in the shed via a FCU then taking the switch for that outside. See the (very bad) diagram - - The red switch is what I want to add

What would be the best way to do this? Would I have to use SWA to wire the switch to the shed (wiring would be all under the decking)

Many thanks

I would have thought the power supply is a plug in unit and wouldnt be suitable to connect directly to an FCU

Its a small transformer (rated for outdoor use) with about 5m flex and a standard 3 pin plug (not molded, removable) so I figured its no different being connected to an FCU?
