I replaced one of these and applied 15 wraps of PTFE tape. When I tighten this, I could go another half turn but that will mean the tap is pointing sideways! Is the current level of tightened good enough and will it drip over time? Seems to be okay at the moment.

Sure. I was wondering if I haven’t monitored it for long enough and it will start seeping in a few hours - as an example.
My concern is that it’s not fully tight but may be that’s not necessary?

They are never fully tight, they'd invariably be pointing the wrong way.

Threads with PTFE tape don't need to go fully into the stop to be watertight but you do want it relatively tight otherwise all it will do is loosen when a hose is attached to it and it's pulled around.

Buy a roll of GAS PTFE tape, it's thicker - 7 wraps will do

This has started dripping from the screw joint after a few months of use. Is it a case of removing the tap and existing PTFE and re-wrapping? I used Gas PTFE last time and gave it plenty of wraps. Should I be doing something different?
