I have a problem with another of my outside lights, already had to remove one where wires were corroded inside.

This light and it's corresponding PIR are mounted in a slightly more difficult to access location. So not investigated too far yet.

The PIR has not appeared to be working since we moved into the house, the light is also switchable from inside. However the other night the light was on despite the switch inside being off. As of last night the light was intermittently flashing on and off, approx every 2 seconds. So not in line with any logical PIR setting but the light can still be controlled using the internal switch, ie. I can turn it on and leave it on as opposed to flashing.

Is it likely to be a fault with the PIR or something else that causing the light to flash?

I think secure spark means he would think the fault is with the pir, not something else, and I'd agree.

Unless you've changed the lamps recently for lower energy versions. I've known PIRs to short cycle when there's not a minimum load met. Changing the lamp for a slightly higher wattage one has resolved it.

If you haven't changed the lamps, then almost certainly the PIR
