Outside Lights

Hi,

I have been asked to provide 2 outside lamps (switched seperately) for a customer at the back of their extension. My easiest source of power is via a twin socket in the kitchen. Am I correct in saying I can come away from this socket, via a 5A connection unit, to provide power for the lights. Also, I want to run the external cables in round PVC flex, in conduit. All sound Ok so far?

Many thanks,

Tonyx

You can fuse down from the socket, yes. But must run if the safe zones and it will need............................................................................wait for it............................

RCD protection, you could do this by using an RCDFCU if the circuit is not already protected.

FLEX

What CSA is this flex? It would be preferable in singles or stretching it T&E!!!

Thanks for the advice with the RCDFCU.....

I was going to use 75mm 3 core 6A flex just to make it easier to push/pull 3/4 cables through the conduit
