What type of cable should be run for the following:

I have 10mm SWA from main CU in house to CU in Shed and again SWA from shed underground to decking where there is a conversion box. What cable should be run from the conversion box (attached to the deck) to the socket outlet (also attached to the deck directly next to the cnversion box)? I was going to use arctic flex but what should be used.

Max 20amps

3 core SWA stright into the sockets. what the hell is a conversion box and why use one?

Conversion box basicallly junction box with various knockouts for swa and normal compresion glands. Takes SWA and connects to cable for garden supply switches that dont. The garden switches for pond take 9mm cable max.

Blagdon pond switches are the ones supplied which will not take swa.

The important features you need from the cable is it should be round (compression glands don't like non-round cables) and should be suitable for outdoor use (indoor cable types aren't designed for the UV and temperature swings of outdoor use).

hituff would seem your best bet, it's designed for handling outdoor conditions and it comes in black which is likely to blend in better than the bright colors of arctic cable. Unfortunately the 2.5mm size is a bit fat to get into your equipment, even the 1.5mm stuff is slightly fatter than the 9mm you specify.

Also if your circuit is rated as high as 20A I'd think the outgoing stuff would need overcurrent protection. How do you plan to provide this?
