I have been told to go half way across the inside brick then put my DPC on top

Would be very helpfull if some one can let me know

About to fix a sole plate(145x45C16) to the top of my foundation (150mm concrete block)timber kit is then fixed to this. does the same rule apply?

Sorry for the blatant hijack.

I would imagine so. You don't want your wood wet if any moisture gets to the foundations.
Are they foundations with footings or deep fill foundations?

Foundations and footings, what's the reason behind only a half lap of the DPM as opposed to a full lap of the block?

Thank you

so long as the dpm is lapped onto the dpc by some degree then this is all that is necessary. this will allow the mortar to bind to at least half of the wall thickness.

the physical dpc will deal with the remainder.
