Overflow Dripping

Hello,

I have a boilermate2 water tank with a f&e sitting on the top of it. The overflow from the f&e is leaking and has been for a while.

We emptied out the f&e and adjusted the ball float downwards so it applied more pressure to the valve. However the f&e is still leaking and full of pretty hot water.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what it might be?
 
Does the ball valve drip? If yes, change it.
 
It could be pumping over, best way to check turn cold feed to f&e tank off and see if it stops.

Shut off supply to ballvalve for F&E tank and leave for a while say 1 day. Let us know if still dripping.
