When did you check inside? More specifically, how long was it since the last flush? You might have a ball valve with a very slow leak so the time to look inside is when the overflow is actually dripping.
its just when i come down in the morning and have a look (hasnt been flushed all night) i see a couple of drops on the floor and a tiny bit of water hanging from the over flow pipe
ive checked in side at the same time and the water level is a fair bit down from the top of the pipe were the water would go down..
can it leak from any were else ? causing it to slightly drip from the overflow or does it have to come from coming over the top (water level) ???
ive checked...and the water is going to the correct water level, could it be the connection inside the tank were the overflow connects to seeping water and dripping outside???
Well it's not impossible. The overflows I've seen have a flange on the inside of the tank, a rubber washer under the flange and a nut underneath the tank. If you were to fit one of these with the washer under the tank then tighten it until the plastic split below the flange, that could allow water to seep under the flange and into the pipe. It might get out onto the floor too. The only way to find out is to empty the tank and have a look.
