The overflow pipe outside my bathroom window drips at night but not during the day. Why is this and how can I stop it?It is nothing to do with the cistern as I have checked this. Please help as it is very annoying. Thank you AMW
What is the overflow pipe connected to ?? If it's to the toilet cistern then it is probably the inlet valve diaphram washer which is either worn, or not sealing fully because of debris in the valve.
is the overflow from a loft tank as you have stated its not from a toilet cistern?
if it is the cws tank in loft you have a faulty ball valve or you have cold mains passing to hot gravity either through a mixer tap or shower valve etc.
