grrr. Bought a bath, panel and shower screen online a while ago. Finally got around to fitting it and found that there are no wooden batons under the bath to fit hinges etc to.

Is it ok just to glue on my own?

Also, the bath panel supplied is too tall. Even when the bath legs are at full height it doesn't fit under one end. It was sold as a kit.

Help anyone!

Hopefully it doesn't fit under BOTH ends if you've set the tub level.

It's not unusual for a tub to be installed on wooden bearers, say, 2" thick to spread the loading on a wooden floor, and provide clearance for the waste trap etc. underneath, so the panels are usually made deep enough to accommodate this installation method. If your installation height is lower than the panel height, it is common to scribe and trim the bottom of the panel to fit the floor.

ABS panels can be a right $&*%^$£ to support adequately when cutting - some will try to split if you just look at them a bit funny. I prefer using patience and a fine toothed hacksaw blade in a padsaw, followed by draw filing with a smooth or second cut file to attempting to use something like a jigsaw.
