Paint for single skin brick

What type of paint am I better off using for single skin brick and for a lean to extension with single skin brick boarded over with plasterboard with a foam backing. The bottom areas near the pvc door are prone to condensation and feeling a heck of a lot colder than everywhere else. I'm guessing it's a prime spot being close to the floor and the closest board to the outer wall. We painted with standard paint and its just bubbled and once its damp and you touch it it just flakes off
