Hi all, plumber seeking some decorating advice!

Just moving into a new place, and I've got woodchip to take off and paint to strip from the architrave and skirtings. I've ordred some Wallwik wallpaper removal sheets at the reccommendation of some people on this site, I'm really hoping its as good as people say it is!

I am however pondering how best to strip the frames & skirtings. In the past I've tried using both heat guns & Nitromors chemicals but both have been a real chore.

I've been wondering if some of the other paint stripping alternatives like 'kling strip' or 'peel away' are better, or if they are all pretty rubbish! Also wondering if its OK to scrape paint off after using chemicals with a wire brush?

Thanks in advance.

If you can afford it rip the door stop and architrave off and just strip the edge of the lining then replace with new...honest, by the time you strip them and weigh in for the paint stripper it will be quicker easier and possibly cheaper
