I'm having a shed tailor made (because I need a shape that isn't available "off the peg") and it's going to be made of tannalised timber. The carpenter making it does not do painting.

I want to paint it in blue and white stripes and wonder what paint to use.

I am thinking white oil based primer, white undercoat and then Dulux Weathershield.

Or shall I just use water based shed paint?

Zinsser Cover stain. You can get it tinted to match top coats if that helps.
Probably nothing better for exterior wood

No. Not waterbased. Why did you think that?
Always read the online data sheet for any paints. Tells you all about prep. Application. What it for ect. Look it up
