Prepararation can vary from wall to wall, house to house,..

Its difficult to give you an exact answer but if they need a lot of filling then the filler will need a good base to go on to, otherwise the filler may start blowing or bits may come off and get into the wet filler causing it to leave tramlines in the filling......id suggest that you give the walls a coat of waterbased plaster primer or dulux stainblock first.

Then fill using gyroc easi fil....its cheaper than polyfilla and easier to sand down..use a wide bladed filling knife...

Thanks
I dont need to use filler cause i dont have any big holes or anything like that i want to make the surface more smooth so is doesn't look to bad when i paint it.

Do you know if there is a paint that is thick and will smooth it over if there is such a thing

Thanks again :)

No there isnt really...well there is.....but its very expensive and looks cr!p when its done....the mney you save will be better spent making a nice job of the walls.

There has been loads of threads on here from people asking how to remove the textured stuff from their walls,,,you regret it honestly
