What is the best way to prepare and paint new moisture-proof plasterboard on the bathroom ceiling?

You might get a better answer if you ask a painter or a plasterer rather than an electrician.
 
What is the best way to prepare and paint new moisture-proof plasterboard on the bathroom ceiling?
After taking it down to get to any otherwise inaccessible parts of the electrical installation for inspection and testing, then replacing it, and also after filling in any holes cut in it for lights.

One way is to use an Undercoat first on the plasterboard, then TWO coats of GLOSS paint on the ceiling - Bathrooms tend to be damp places, and the Gloss paint holds up to moisture better than emulsion etc.
