I intend to replace some plasterboard with the same thickness plywood.
I want the finish to be indistinguishable from the existing painted plasterboard.
Is there a paint or woodfiller or some other product that I can apply to get the desired result?

Ignoring the "why" of doing this...I'd go for a primer and then oil based undercoat, maybe a light sand before proceeding with whatever paint I was using on the walls in the vicinity of the ply.

You'll notice the different texture in ply. Go back to the other thread, and deal with it properly.

You may want to use a thin lining paper over the ply. It will help it look more like a plastered finish.

If the plywood butts up to plasterboard you will eventually have expansion cracks between the two substrate though. A substantially thicker lining paper might hide the hairline cracks if you line the whole wall.
