any advice,i am going to lay some teak parquet floor, still has some bitumen on but just a thin amount, and i was told laybond L19 is the adhesive to use,as the 2 will bond,my problem is the floor in my living room is chipboard, will this be a problem?
thanks
derek

Any bitumen residue will affect the bonding time with any modern adhesive, so the more you can get off the better it is.

Chipboard is a problem, does it have a moist repellent surface? If so, no modern adhesive will bond to it. Plying over it would be the solution (or rip out this horrible rubbish chipboard and replace it with 18mm exterior grade plywood).
