I have just sanded my parquet floor and now it looks a great light, natural wood colour. I want to varnish it and for it to remain that light colour, however, when I applied varnish it went a dark colour and it has stayed that way. Have you any ideas as to what I can do to retain the natural colour of the wood? Thanks.
