The zone vertically above a shower cubicle is ZONE 1 - upto 2.25m from the floor. Above this is ZONE 2.
In ZONE 1, you can have a selv light fitting, and a selv fan, both with a rating of IPx4.
If you are unable to locate elsewhere, you may also have a 230v light fitting, and a 230v fan, again, both with a rating of IPx4. These must be protected by an RCD with a rating of 30mA. This is a 'get out' type reg, and the use of selv fittings is the much preferred method.
In ZONE 2, you may use selv or 240v lights/fans, no requirement for an RCD, but the IPx4 still applies.
Also note the IPx4 is increased to IPx5 if hosing down is likely.
