Does anyone remember this? Oh No Russia...
Covid...Ukraine...Russia...
It's all just journalism.
...in the public interest....
Nearly all journalism, TV reporting etc nowadays is sensational, selective and biased, and is in the journalist's, rather than the public's, interest. Do you really know what's going on in Ukraine? Why are we only hearing one side? The politics and history of that area are extremely complicated. Are the Russians totally evil? Are the Ukrainians completely innocent?
Are you not aware that it's because Russia has completely shut down reporting of the war other than what the Kremlin tells the press they can publish? Don't you realise that the Duma enacted a law yesterday which made publishing "fake" news about the "peacekeeping" role of their army punishable by 15 years in jail? That's designed to crush freedom of the press.Do you really know what's going on in Ukraine? Why are we only hearing one side?
What is more is that it's been invaded by one of the guarantors to its sovereign and territorial integrity, i.e. Russia.Ukraine is a sovereign, democratic country that’s been invaded for no good reason by an aggressor.
what else do you need to know

No, it isn't easy and we must all do our best to not spread disinformation/fake news according to political prejudice
Exactly, because non-proliferation guarantees are proven to be worthless. This entire caper could well lead or will lead to more states seeking / obtaining a nuclear capability
Japan ?
Iran
Saudi Arabia because of Iran ?
Andy11 believes Trump won the election.
What is more is that it's been invaded by one of the guarantors to its sovereign and territorial integrity, i.e. Russia.
The Budapest Memorandum, signed by UK, USA and Russia in 1994, when Ukraine gave up its nuclear arsenal, was supposed to guarantee that sovereign integrity by all signatories.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest_Memorandum_on_Security_AssurancesAll three signatories are abdicating their responsibilities to Ukraine.
According to the memorandum,[22] Russia, the US and the UK confirmed their recognition of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine becoming parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and effectively abandoning their nuclear arsenal to Russia and that they agreed to the following:
Whether or not the memorandum sets out legal obligations, the difficulties that Ukraine has encountered since early 2014 may cast doubt on the credibility of future security guarantees that are offered in exchange for nonproliferation commitments
- Respect Belarusian, Kazakh and Ukrainian independence and sovereignty in the existing borders.[23]
- Refrain from the threat or the use of force against Belarus, Kazakhstan or Ukraine.
- Refrain from using economic pressure on Belarus, Kazakhstan or Ukraine to influence their politics.
- Seek immediate Security Council action to provide assistance to Belarus, Kazakhstan or Ukraine if they "should become a victim of an act of aggression or an object of a threat of aggression in which nuclear weapons are used".
- Refrain from the use of nuclear arms against Belarus, Kazakhstan or Ukraine.
- Consult with one another if questions arise regarding those commitments.[19]
It doesn't bode well if any other countries were thinking about giving up their nuclear arsenal in exchange for 'guarantees' of sovereign integrity.
