afternoon all,

my patio holds water quite badly and ive now decided to do something about it. the patio is pretty much level, but during heavy rainfall, the build up of water almost breaches the DPC.

A builder over the road, suggested linking up a drain to the gutter downpipe system, that is 1m away on the side of the house so that the rainwater holding on the patio can run into the same system as the gutter downpipe?

what would be involved in this exactly? can i do this myself?
