I have one of these which draws a maximum of 2000 watts on the highest setting.

It is supplied with 1 metre of 1mm2 HO5 RN-F flex with moulded plug.

It needs 5 or 6 metres of flex to reach the nearest convenient socket. One option is to replace the entire flex with 6 metre length of 3 core heat resistant flex like this from Wickes

Is heat resistant cable suitable for this kind of heater?

Would 1.5mm 3 core HO5RN-F be acceptable?

The concern is to ensure the heat produced within the heater would not adversely affect the flex.

Maybe that begs the question whether heat resistant flex is designed to protect the appliance it serves, or the circuit it completes.

Yes, the only problem may be fitting it into whatever strain relief or gland there is on the heater, as 1.5mm is significantly larger diameter than 1.0mm.

H05RN-F is not heat resistant, only rated to 60C.
