Hello

Patio Window Transition.png

I need advice on how to do a patio window to floorboard transition.

Please see photo

At the top you can see the patio window and at the bottom you can see the rotted floor boards. Between them you can see a concrete (or motar) layer, laid on a DPC membrane. Below the DPC membrane is a course of brickwork (which you cannot see)

I intend to remove concrete layer and expose the DPC membrane. Then repalce the rooted floor boards, extening the floorboards over the DPC layer, up to the patio door.

There will be a gap between the floorbaords and the patio door when completed

What options are available to me with regard to the transition between patio door and floorboards

Suggest stick it to top of floor boards?

If possible, just leave a little bit of the cement strip, and glue it to that. Then if the floorboards expand or contract with weather, it won't matter.

Although I have glued them down to hardwood flooring and had no issues...
