Paving flags, 35mm or 50 mm

I'm having 80 paving flags laid next week, a freind of a friend is doing it for me.

I am supplying the materials etc

I have decided on the slab I want, it is 60mm x 60mm but they come in 2 thickness, 35mm and 50mm and the price reflects this,

The area being flagged is only a garden area/patio with foot traffic only, no vehicles etc, would the 35mm be ok, or should I go for the 50mm?
