An Israeli cabinet meeting to approve a ceasefire and hostage deal with Hamas was delayed Thursday morning, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the militant group of “reneging” on parts of the agreement.

Netanyahu’s office said the cabinet would not convene until Hamas accepted all elements of the deal. A Hamas official said on social media that the group is committed to the agreement announced Wednesday. Neither provided any further details.

I'm more supportive of the SDP actually but will vote for a party who centres their own country over the interests of others even if that party is on the other side of the aisle.

Netanyahu has blamed Hamas for the delay……that’s what is being reported including the BBC.

That is not evidence that Hamas are the reason for the delay…..as you well know.

All parties agreed last night to a release of hostages in exchange for a release of Palestinian prisoners, off the top of my head I think it was 30 Palestinians for 1 single hostage. Israel would have a veto on which prisoners were released to avoid releasing murderers or mass murderers. Hamas agreed to this but in the early hours backtracked and said they want to specify which prisoners are released.

Israel said no. We stick to the terms you agreed or no deal.
