My new pedestal sink waste is 40mm, my waste piping is 40mm, so shouldn't I be fixing a pedestal water trap with 40mm at each end?

I can only seem to find 32mm x 32mm or 40mm x 32mm pedestal traps??

Am I missing something in this plumbing equation?

Thanks

Paul

you'll need an inch and a quater basin trap and an inch and half to inch and a quater reducer and a inch and a half coupling

Thanks for the reply...but too many inches and too many quarters :)

Are you saying I shouldn't be using a slimline pedestal trap? (the sink sits on a pedestal).

Thanks

:?

Basins have 32 mm outlet to waste pipe.

You can use 40 mm waste if you have a reducer :D
