I’m currently in the process of repainting my living room. I had some peeling paint around and behind my radiator. I scraped the loose paint off to where the paint was ok on the wall but I didn’t realise how far it would have spread! When it comes to repairing it so there is not a visible line between new and old paint. Any advise is appreciated. Photos should be attached

is that all you can get off?

Then use filler where the rough edge is, let dry, sand, have a look.

Repeat above as necessary till it looks reasonable.

Apply mist coat to bare plaster.

Do more filling if it looks uneven.

Mist coat on filler.

Check it looks even, etc, etc, mist coat, etc, etc.

Top coats.

Yes I removed all the peeling paint up to solid paint. Does the whole area need filling or just the raised edge?
