Pension: Deferred retirement grant?

Can anyone tell me what a Deferred Retirement Grant is?

I'm looking at a CETV valuation and it has three numbers:

Deferred Retirement Pension £ this is the index linked amount at retirement.
Deferred Retirement Grant £?
Contingent Spouse Pensions £ - I understand this

The option to exchange part of your pension for a tax-free lump sum that is paid when you take your pension benefits.”
