People Who Menstruate

Some people enjoy lobbing 'trigger' bombs & standing back while the left & right eat each other.

I assure you that it is nothing to do with the general lack of attention to real issues.

i often hear the word " what" it tends to be used in a sentence to give context and meaning as a few words in isolation seem to me as not giving any context or even pose a question as such
and yes my grammar punctuation composition is pathetic but my aim is to be fully helpful friendly and non-judgemental i hope you will overlook the grammatical errors as i left education in the 60s when there where 3 streams of academic technical and manual where the expectations where to groom to the situation wher you left school at 15[later 16] and because it was full employment due to war deaths 'in the 60s you would have the choice off several jobs so no basic level off training required

@big-all, don't worry about your spelling and grammar. You get your opinion/advice over very clearly, in fact much more clearly than some 'educated' members who think using big, (read rarely used), words manage to get theirs over. The sort of people who claim they went to 'High School' simply because it was up steps.

If it's a new term for 'ladies who lunch' then it's going to need some work to catch on.

About 10 years ago i overheard a question on R4 Woman's Hour when some bright young thing pondered 'should Tolkien have written more women into LotR?'
Why not have an all-female Lady of the Rings and do a re-make, like Ghostbusters.
ffs:rolleyes:
There was more diversity in the 60s and 70s than anyone cares to admit nowadays....and more bloody freedoms, too.

They wanted to exclude men who say they are women.

TRAs insist that TWAW, and that the word "women" therefore includes men who say they are women.

What are TRAs and TWAW. BTW, TMA. (too many acronyms)

TRA means "Trans Rights Activist".
A person who insists that a man who says he is a woman is entitled to all the rights, privileges and protections reserved for women.

TWAW means "Trans Women Are Women.
A slogan insisting that a man who says he is a woman, is a woman.

To be a Trans Woman, there is no requirement to have adopted female dress or behaviour, or to have any training or surgery. It is only necessary to utter the words "I am a woman." The adoption of female persona need not be permanent.

Some results of this include men who are rapists and sexual abusers being sent to womens prisons, or allowed to stroll around women's changing rooms in shops and swiming pools, lavatories, saunas, and female wards in hospitals, and to reside in Refuges for Abused Women and to use their communal showers. Also to compete against women in sports such as swimming, cycling and weightlifting.

There is an alternative view, that Men are Not Women, and that a "woman" is an adult human female.

I don’t understand what the person who used the term was trying to say. I can only think they wanted to exclude post and pre-menstrual females.
Then surely they would have said "women who menstruate"
Unless there are people with the parts needed to menstruate that do not want to be called women but people instead?

That is a very good point. If you're pre-pubescent or post menopause, are you not female?

the term "women" need not be avoided. Unless you are a TRA and consider the word to be meaningless.

It's their attempt to make things as non-gendered as possible... using the same logic you would also have men who can/could menstruate i.e. female to male transexuals.

It's ludicrous to assert that there is just no difference between biological sex and transexuals, it shows how idiotic people can get when they let ideology reason themselves into corners.

I'm shadow banned on Twitter simply for having a polite disagreement with a transwoman called India Willoughby where I stated that people simply don't consider transwomen and women to be completely the same thing even though the majority are willing to polite and respectful by using the pronouns of the sex they outwardly express themselves as.

And I worded it like that for a reason because personally I'm not going to refer to some guy with a beard whose wearing lipstick and womens jeans as "she / her"... but if someone has gone to lengths to make some kind of genuine transition then of course I'll be respectful and courteous to that person.

Is this so unreasonable that it deserves a shadow ban?

But of course, Twitter has no left wing bias according to some.
