Percentage Fully vaccinated

Ha ha ha

Your previous smug comment has been blown out of the water.....so you resort to deflection. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

By the way, I only brought up Brexit because it refers back to the post of mine you were quoting.
What comment was blown out the water? I stated we are doing better than the rest of Europe is that not true?o_O
The first comment about Brexit was by you, nobody else mentioned it, and totally unrelated to thread and to me as i voted remain.(y)

I assume Galahad started the thread to counter the silly arguments as presented by Charlie George.
I.e. percentage comparisons with EU is pointless, and is purely a propaganda exercise.
Have you never used comparisons with UK/EU in percentage terms then:?:, if you do in the future shall we just ignore as pointless:idea:

Oh dear you are intent on digging yourself a deeper hole.

You referred to a post I made in a different thread....where Brexit was mentioned.....a post you are trying unsuccessfully to take out of context. Ho hum

Percentage terms aren't relavent where we are talking about a finite number of vaccines available.

It is a simple fact that if the EU did a better job of vaccine procurement....the UK wouldn't have any.

Do any of you fully understand exactly WHY they split their vaccine into 2 doses & then later, extended the time between them???

Other than it just makes the vaccine even more effective, no. They do similar with other vaccines, to improve immunity.

My understanding is that it was driven by concerns of variants....the thinking was to get far more people jabbed up for a bit of protection

I heard they extended it, because they decided it was more effective if done later than they were originally doing it. A rumour went around that alternating the jab type, might have value, but I never heard any more about that.

I'm hearing rumblings that say that some groups are being vaccinated on a 4 week cycle as results so far show their immunity dropped off to nearly nothing by week 12 and not picking up as most do after the second dose. Unconfirmed rumours though.

For most people the 12 week regime seems to be working well though.

what is your source?
Non attributable third hand gossip. Which makes it as reliable as sooey.

Edit: although unlike sooey it seems I might be right and there might be truth to it.

Cancer patients are much less protected against Covid-19 than other people after one dose of the Pfizer vaccine, the first real-world study in this area suggests.

With a 12-week wait for the second dose this could leave them vulnerable, says the King's College London and Francis Crick Institute research team.

An early second dose appeared to boost cancer patients' protection.

About as reliable as our 'glorious leader' then...

Mind you, we'll soon be seeing the bunter in his £9m bunker, complete with screens showing 'kill ratios' and all that o_O
