hello all.
i have been asked by a friend to do a periodic on his house for insurance purposes , am i able to do it for him without being 'part p' registered? i have my 2391 and can use the meters from work . ive filled in nic test sheets many times at work before mainly on commercial ect .
thanks

Tesing and inspection is not covered by Part P. You can issue a PIR but without the endorsement of NICEIC (unless your firm lets you). I would find out if the insurance firm requires it to be done by any specific body i.e nic, since your friend would not like to do the job twice.
