I want to remove the kitchen radiator permanantley( I have fitted electric under floor heating) which is 10mm supply down the wall, do I follow pipe to floor boards and cap them there ? it is an open vent system can you cap 10mm ? many thanks Russ
Yes you can cap micro bore if you can't find the manifold then cap them at closet part they come from, I always solder microbore caps as connex get a little movement they leak.

The main (probably 22mm) flow and retun pipes run from the boiler to a more central point under the floor. The end of the 22mm pipes have manifolds which allow all the microbore pipes to branch off to and from their respective radiators. Connex is just a brand name of compression fitting.
You could solder caps onto the ends of the 2 10mm pipes and bury them in the wall, especially if it's a stad wall. Or you could cut the pipes nearer the manifold, and cap them there. The first option saves you having to pull up floorboards to find the manifold, and prevents the possibility of capping the wrong pipes.
even more bodge - flatten about 100mm of pipe - clean up 50mm of end and using self cleaning flux , solder the end over after folding it back on its self - then leave a old ice cream carton under it - in the void under the floor in case it drips a little
