I want to permanently remove a radiator from my central heating system, it's a fairly new system with plastic speed-fit pipe work throughout. I've searched other threads but can't find anything relevant to plastic pipe work. Question is: is it ok to just remove the Rad and then cap the flow and return. My concern is that air will be trapped in the capped pipes and when heated by the central heating water could expand and split the pipe, am I being unduly concerned and is this method acceptable. Advice appreciated.
