peugeot 406 digital display code?

Hi when I switch ignition to first position (99 406hdi 2litre) the display flashes single 0 several times then goes to normal display, is this a code signifying a problem?

Its not the oil level indicator, is it - or is this a series of 'o' s?
Check the oil level anyway, with the car on level ground.

No John, after a single `0`flashes approx 4 times the display then shows full set oil level 000000 and then goes to mileage.

307 does that as well.

Had you it in for a service and they may have change/cleared the service interval. To get rid of the spanner after servicing. I don't think its a fault code, but I could be wrong.
