Peugeot valve clearances?

The timing is the first thing id check, how did it run immediately after the timing belt change?

Are you still getting problems with starting ? Is there a clear plastic fuel pipe close to the fuel filter, if so check for air bubbles in this pipe with engine running, if there are any bubbles it is pulling air in. If this is the engine i'm thinking it is (not sure what year your car is) there is a "pressure relief valve" built into the head of the fuel filter, its along side where the pipes enter the filter but at the rear (bulkhead side) might need a mirror to see it, it looks a bit like a bleed valve
This valve is held in with a springy type washer with teeth on (not sure what they are called) remove washer, pull out valve and check the "o" ring seal, the seals aren't available separately from dealer but seem to be a standard size.
