Well folks it's that time again!

I found this under a floor recently.

It is a 1.0mm² T&E lighting feed which has been jointed out.

Yep a ceramic ceiling rose was used inplace of a joint box :shock:
 
What's the age of that rose? I reckon it'll be from the 50's.

Is the cable a new type that grows it's own insulation over the cpc. :shock:

Although that colour not being to current standards
 
Must have been there a long time, and be quite damp, for the copper to go that green! At first glance I thought it was green sleeving.
